ScalablePower's company goal is to promote changing the way the existing power grid functions. 

The path to fully utilize California's now 14,000 MW of rooftop solar requires breakthrough thinking.  Scalablepower is focused tapping that resource without requiring utilities to buildout a whole new distribution grid.

Relying on individual consumers to provide the solution by installing behind the meter storage can only have limited success.  It is not designed to recognize local grid issues and address them.

Scalablepower's Smart-Stor solution with its Smart Logic Engine is designed to be an intrinsic part of the utility's toolset.  It does provide many of the features home owners value in the current solutions, but it goes one step further.  It monitors and participates in stabilizing  and fully utilizing the distribution grid.

The role of today's utility grids is transitioning from one of  providing energy, to instead one of managing energy.
